DIY Mustache T shirt

Hey everyone!
So today after work I decided a Sunday night home meant crafts!
And for once, I remembered to record the DIY tutorial before I actually did it, hahaha.
I used the Crickut machine to make the mustache stencil, but you could just google an image and print one out.
Attached the stencil with double sided tape, and using a sponge brush applicator and some matte tulip fabric paint, sponge away until the entire stencil has been filled!
Allow to dry (or, impatiently use a hair dryer, haha)
Peel away the stencil,
and Ta Da!
A mustache shirt is born!
This method could be used with any stencil of course, not just a mustache, haha.
Much love and mustaches,
Lissy.

How to successfully lose weight (and never find it again)

Summer's coming up in a few months, and everyone is scrambling to get beach ready.
When I started working out and dieting in November, I was around 140 lbs.  Almost three months later, I'm down to 127 lbs, I've lost three inches off of my waist, half an inch off each of my thighs, and three off my hips.
The biggest, and hardest, change I made was my diet.
I cut out soda (except for the occasional sprite or something equivalent), candy (Except maybe one piece of chocolate every few days; don't want that valentine's box to go to waste!), and fast food.  I pay so much more attention to calories (4 chicken tenders at Chick-Fil-A = ~500 calories.  Dang!), and what I put into my body.

  • Whole grains/wheat
  • Fresh, not canned fruit
  • Vegetables (which I hate, but am trying!)
  • Lean meats
  • Water, water, water.
You have to pay a bit more to get the good stuff, but don't think of it like that.  Consider this:
While you can go to Mc Donald's and buy a full meal off the dollar menu, and you'll be full, what will you be full of?  Grease, fat, sodium, and preservatives.  Don't get me wrong, I. Love. Fast. Food.  I do.  But I'd rather go to the store, spend $40 on groceries, and buy whole wheat bagels, Kashi Go lean cereal, extra lean meat, whole grain spaghetti, and organic ragu, and be able to have breakfast lunch and dinner for a while.
Your body's like a car.  Put crappy, icky mucky gasoline in it, and it'll run awful.  Put premium gas with ethanol, and it'll run much smoother.

Now the easy part: Working out.
I run (almost) every morning for two miles.
I don't run the entire time, probably about a third of it all together.  But while I'm not running, I'm doing lunges, working out my arms as I walk, and things like that.  I give myself walking breaks on easy parts of the trail, and make myself run up the hills and whatnot.  I've never seen faster results.
Good luck <3

February Product Reviews

  1. Urban Decay Urban defense tinted moisturizer: XXXXX.  Aw-ful.  Sticky, way too thick, wayyy too dark.
  2. Benefit BAD gal lash mascara: !!.  Like it, not sure if I'll buy it again or the fullsize.  It's dark, which is nice, but it clumps up a bit too much for my liking.
  3. Smashbox Be discovered/Be legendary Pink Petal lipstick: !!!!!.  Love this stuff.  Very pretty, colour is buildable.  Expensive for my taste, $18, only got it because I had a gift card.
  4. bareminerals Mineral Veil: XX.  Don't really care for it.  It mattes the makeup for a moment, but does not last as long as other powders I've tried.
  5. Coconut Lime Breeze fragrance mist (Bath & Body Works): !!!.  I know I work there, but honestly I wouldn't say I like something if I don't.  I tell customers all day long if I like or hate a product.  I like this one, it smells like summer.  However, there are some days when it just smells like suntan lotion to me and I don't like it, other days I love it just fine.  I dunno.  Love the new bottle though.
  6. Herbal Essences tousle me softly mousse: !!!!!.  I use this stuff basically every day.  Get a baseball sized amount and just scrunch my hair with my fingers and let it air dry.  For a more romantic look, add a few curls after it dries.  So easy to use, and smells good too.

Long time no see!

Hello Hello Hello!
Sorry for my absence, I've been so busy!
I've been working out, planning birthday surprises for boyfriend, and attempting to pass my college classes (haha).
News:

  • I'm down to 125 lbs.
  • I've lost an inch and a half off my waist.
  • I'm editing videos right now to be posted before tonight (hopefully).
  • Boyfriend's 19th birthday was yesterday.
So, Now that birthday is over, I'll have a bit more time to keep up with everything.
I did record a valentine's day look, but the video was rubbish and sentenced to Azkaban, never to be seen or heard from again.

Birthday cake and jogging shoes,
Lissy

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

Guess what's coming up!
...
Spring break!!
And you know what that means?
MORE RUNNING!
Hahaha.  I've lost thirteen pounds since November-ish (I was dieting before thanksgiving, but you know how holidays are torture).  I'm rockin' at 127 right now and I feel great.  But I'm not done!
Mondays Wednesdays Fridays and Sundays: Arms and belly
Tuesday Thursday Saturdays: Run like the wind!

I will hopefully be going on vacation for spring break (have to ask daddy...bum bum bummm...) and I'm about to buy a bathing suit from Victoria's Secret (...So.  Bummed.  The one I really reallllly want is on back order until March 17th, and spring break starts on like.  The twelfth.  I plan to be gone by then.  -_-).
Much sweat and excitement!
Your Lissy.

Happy February!

Well guys, January's over and we're getting closer to Valentine's Day.
Things have been a little crazy in my household lately but things are getting back to normal.
I've got school twice a week, and (sometimes) a job (I don't seem to get many hours, these days...), plus all the random little adventures me and boyfriend like to go on to keep me busy.
I'm going to be recording a January hit and miss, some product reviews, and maybe a tutorial or two within the next week so keep an eye out for that!

Love always,
Lissy
